Rainer Stifter
Rainer has 17 years of professional experience in the energy field with strong focus on Energy Efficiency, Energy Management and Energy Financing incl. countries of the Middle East, East Europe, Asia. He is evaluator within several UNIDO, EU and EBRD funded programs and a recognised Trainer. Rainer is a strong communicator and led several international assignments focusing on Energy Efficiency Financing and Evaluation of Energy Efficiency investments at the local bank level.
Furthermore, his experience comprises in particular:
- Developing and evaluating Energy Efficiency credit lines and finance schemes in several countries;
- Project identification, development and preparation of bankable EE projects for investment;
- Management of international assignments incl. UNIDO, EBRD, World Bank;
- Developing training materials for energy efficiency and environmental management, conducting numerous specific energy management training programmes worldwide;
- Knowledge of Islamic finance schemes and particularities;
- Carrying out Energy Audits for Industries and Hotels;
- Implementation EE credit lines and loan projects for banks and IFIs;
Project evaluation for the European Commission (IEE, CIP, Horizon2020, LIFE+), the EBRD, the Leonardo da Vinci Programme and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency
